Project Overview: Optune Gio is a wearable medical device used to help treat glioblastoma (GBM), a type of brain cancer. We met with the Pinterest team to expand our advertising efforts on to their platform. It was a natural fit because our brand is very visual, had evidence of patients on the platform, and Pinterest was expanding into more pharma advertising. Being a pharma brand, we had to create an ad only account where we don't have a profile but can serve ads. I was appointed Project Manager for this expansion into Pinterest.
My responsibilities: I led informational meetings with our Pinterest contacts to learn more about the platform and earned the Pinterest Advertising Essentials Badge. I worked with our brand team to determine the awareness level messaging for this audience. Then I designed the creative in two sets, patient imagery and actor imagery, to see what would perform better on the platform. I worked with our media agency to get the assets onto the platform.
